Baltic Philologist Coffret nominees

Year 2014:

The winner:

  • Olga Medvedeva – a lecturer of the Public Service Language Centre, an international project coordinator. For the most prudently perceived multilingualism; for fostering the Lithuanian and other languages; for the most innovative project work and its benefits; for   the ideas developed in Lithuania and effectively disseminated in Europe and globally.

The nominees:

  • Milda Antanauskienė – a lecturer of Vilnius College. For professional language teaching; for active work in LKPA Council and dissemination of the Association activity in Lithuania.
  • Nemira Mačianskienė – the director of the Institute of Foreign Languages of Vytautas Magnus University. For long-time creative, innovative and efficient management of linguists and researchers; for fostering the language and cultural traditions: for dissemination of Lithuanian achievements in Europe and the world.
  • Daiva Vaišnienė – the Chair of the State Commission of the Lithuanian Language.  For meaningfully perceived multilingualism; for dissemination of the Lithuanian language and culture in Europe and the world; for motivation of professionals (native speakers) to cooperate with linguists teaching other languages; ​​for supporting LKPA initiatives.

Year 2013:

  • The Public Service Language Centre –for fostering multilingualism and foreign language teaching/learning promotion; and active participation in the Lithuanian Language Teachers’ Association proceedings.

The nominee:

  • Vilnius College.

  • Nijole Bražėnienė – a long-term director of the Institute of Foreign Languages of Vilnius University, a PhD, a long-term vice president of LKPA.

The nominee:

  • Aleksandr Ismailov – a teacher of the Turkish language at Vytautas Magnus  University, a fosterer of the oriental culture.

  • the Foreign Language Centre of Vytautas Magnus University – for the most innovative work of linguists and it’s  substantiate value.

  • linguists of Vilnius College – for the most beneficial aid to business; for productive collaboration of the linguists.

  • Jurate Patackaitė, the Head of the Foreign Language Department of  Vilnius College; a Vilnius College Board member; a long-term member, a bursar and a Vice President of the LKPA Board – for the most beneficial  aid to business, for the implementation of ideas of  native language teachers’ and other linguists’ cooperation.

The nominees:

  • Nijole Bražėnienė – a PhD, an associate professor of Vilnius University, the founder and a long-term director of the VU Institute of Foreign Languages; ​​a member of the Vilnius University Senate; a member of the International Association of ESSE, a LKPA Board Member; one of the developers of language teaching policy of Lithuania; – for lifetime achievements in science and contribution to the development of Lithuanian language policy.
  • Marija  Liudvika Drazdauskienė – a Lithuanian linguist, a PhD, a professor of Warsaw Wszechnica Polska School, an active member of LKPA – for lifetime achievements, for active participation in the Association proceedings.
  • Nemira Mačianskienė – a professor, the director of the Institute of Foreign Languages of Vytautas Magnus University, a member of the University Senate, an expert of the Ministry of Education; an active member of the LKPA Board – for innovations in language teaching, for successful  education management experience.
  • Olga Medvedeva – a PhD, a coordinator of international projects  of  the Public Service Language Centre, an active participant in international projects; in 2012 was awarded an EUROLTA adult teacher trainer-expert certificate; a long term member of the LKPA Board and  a bursar- for the most prudently perceived multiculturalism, for dissemination of the initiatives of Lithuanian linguists in Europe.
